Swissmar Swiss Fire Gel - 3 Can Pack Review

The Gel Packs are a great idea and work really well except for the fact that if you are keeping a fondue warm and it gets eaten quickly you end up throwing out or burning off the remainder of the gel pack and can't store it safely since the lid is not reusable. I ended up burning off (wasting) 3/4 of it since I had no other way to store the unused portion of the gel. Give the customer plastic lids with the 3 pack as a one time deal then you wont have to give them more for refills.

good - C. Kiser - charlotte nc
the company was great in shipping the item in a timely manner, then was excellent at replacing the item when it arrived damaged. However, the fuel cups even the 2nd time around still arrived a little damaged. I believe it has nothing to do with this company, but rather the packaging around the actual fuel cups.

Break in the mail - Susan A. Gordon - Lothian, MD United States
My new fondue set recommends the Swissmar 3-once tins of gel fuel, but when I ordered them from a very good company at Amazon, the tins opened up in the mail and spread all over the box. I contacted the company and they were very nice and resent the tins at no cost to me. Those opened up in the mail too. Between the two boxes I scraped up enough fuel for my party. I kept one of the tins and bought the 17 oz bottle instead. I will be ordering the 17-oz bottle from now on.

Best I have tried - Thomas Mericle - Ventura, CA
When I bought my fondue set in Switzerland many years ago it came with Swissmar Fire Gel. I have tried other brands over the years and have come back to use the Swissmar brand. It has the right amount of heat and burn time for a fondue dinner.

Maybe the previous rater was using it for something else?
